CES Challenges DT card......christmas with Kenny K

Good morning everyone how are you all? Hope you are all managing in this darn snow.....it may look pretty but I'm rather pooped off with it now.....it can come back crimbo eve so it will be nice surprise when we all awaken on Crimbo Day!! Oooohh wouldn't that be nice a lovely white crimbo......well we can dream, this will prob be our crimbo weather lol.
Anyway its Saturday so you know what thats means........yayyyy its time forrrrr....
Thank you for all your Vintage Crimbo cards last week they were all absolutely amazing. This week its Elisa's turn to choose the challenge & this week the challenge is a sketch.
Here is my card....
This is Mrs Claus & I've made this card for my Mr Claus, my fabby hubby.....I wanted something sexy for my hubby's card.....if you knew Craig you would understand why lol!! Anyway as soon as I thought of a sexy image I straight away thought of Kenny K.....what image could be sexier than this!!!!
Can you see what the sketch is from my card.........no well maybe this will help you lol...

Fab simple sketch that is great to work with.....the girlies enjoyed using this.

Mrs Claus close-up. She is coloured with mainly Promarkers, her boots & sack are coloured with Copics & tiny little bits of pencil were added to the odd little bit for deeper shading.......I really do love the effect you can get from pencil. The fur on her hat, coat & boots are all dusted with glitter.

The inside I decorated as well 7 actually remembered to take a piccie before I wrote in it lol. The small verse is computer generated & something I quickly came up with to go with the image lol. The card was cut using my nestie thru the bigshot.

Normally I wouldn't put flowers on a male card but I think 1 single red rose can be let by, after all its romantic......
I wanted it to look as tho she was standing underneath this mistletoe on the paper but I think the image was a little too big.....it still worked to some degree tho & I love digi's for the fact you can have them any size....bigger is always better lol.

Crafty Purple Frog DT Card.......Challenge 4

Good morning everyone how are you on this freezing cold morning? I cant believe the weather up here they had to close roads down the other night, police had to corden them off because they were just too dangerous to travel on, the council had to come out late at night to put stuff on the roads. Normally Craig moans cus we hardly get any snow now he's moaning cus he cant get the outside crimbo lights up lol.

Now to be honest you were lucky to be seeing this as my printer has been a pain in the ass.....it nearly had my size 11 shoe attached to it & going a journey....yes I'm a size 5 but I would of put my sons trainer on, it does more damage lol.

I do have a few pics of this card, I always find easel cards hard to get pics of lol. So I will add materials used & their links at the bottom of the post.

Sweet Thing Charlotte.......

Good evening peeps how are you all? Hope you are all taking care & keeping wrapped up in this freezing weather..........I've still got my kids off school I'm not risking them travelling in this weather, mind you the kids certainly dont mind being off school lol. Even Natalie has been better at night time cus she has had no school, we still get her screaming on but its never more than 2 hours sometimes as less as an hour which is blinking fantastic on a school night she can easily go 4 hours+......you would think she would wear herself out wouldn't you but not Natty (call her that for short...Batty Natty, cus she's as batty as her mum lol).
Right anyway as its after midnight I will get on with it. I was doing a bit of craft crimbo shopping the other day for some crafting buddies & hubby liked a certain stamp so he got it me....here she is....
This is Charlotte from Kraftin Kimmie, its my 1st Kraftin Kimmie stamp. If I'm being totally honest I've never truly liked these stamps.....I hear you all gasping & tutting at me but calm down & let me explain!! Well some of them have what I used to think huge heads that kinda freaked me out a bit......come on they are surely gonna fall off or make them topple. Well I have started to like them this 1 especially cus I adore her hair its fab & I know the others will grow on me & I will end up buying loads. Actually there are a few that have gone on my santy list....yeah I've had to make a list of stamps I would like for Craig & the kids to pick some to get me.....but guess what there are NO magnolia's in the list AT ALL....how good am I!!!!

I really do like this stamp & I can see me using her loads once crimbo is over & done with.....tomorrow I get back to doing crimbo cards!!! The list of links & materials will be at the bottom of this post. I will tell you tho I coloured her with, Promarkers, Copics & Prisma pencils & sansador....they all make a fab combination as long as you remember to leave your pencils til last DONT use the pens on top of the pencil cus it will ruin the nibs.

I have followed a sketch & also I'm gonna enter the Kraftin Kimmie challenge blog which will be my 1st time & they are wanting spots,if you look at the small image she is holding I have added spots to her skirt lol. I've had this ribbon forever so everything else followed on from there.

I dont know if its just me but when I have a new stamp I fill an A4 sheets of images off that stamp cus I'm usually quite nervous that I'm gonna muck it up so I do a few just incase I need to practice or something. Anyway I did the same with this but she was just that easy to colour the rest have gone into my images box.... I really did enjoy this card & it gave me a lot of pleasure & I actually quite like the way its turned out, new colour scheme for me & new image.....woh I'm getting brave he hee.
List of Materials & Links...
Paper - Basic Grey 'Porcelain' which I've had forever & I've nearly ran out aarrgghh
Kraftin Kimmie stamp - Bunny Zoe's who also has a sale on some magnolia stamps
Pennants - Whiff Of Joy
Sentiment - Sentiments 4 You
All card - Paper Mill Direct
Ribbon & gems from my stash & the corners were cut out using a sizzix die through the bigshot, I've used the same paper from the 'Porcelain' pad. Paper has been ditressed & then all paper & card have had their edges inked with Vintage Photo distress ink.

Well I think thats it folks I'm off to link up then off to bed as its now 1 0'clock in the morning.
Thank you for stopping by & popping in I love reading your comments, they really do cheer a girl up & I thank you with all my heart.
Take care everyone especially in this weather & keep warm.
Huge hugs to you all

Tilda with Peony

Good evening my lovelies, how are you all doing in this atrocious weather? Its absolutely awful up here & freezing with it!!
Today I was supposed to put the tree up but my days dont always go to plan, we have a black van with seats in the back & a ramp for my daughter & her wheelchair, anyway the windscreen wipers broke down today on it & wouldnt work so we had to get the RAC out to fix that luckily by 3 0'clock they were fixed without it having to be towed to Renault. We then had to rush through to Whitley Bay, not much of the rushing tho cus of the bad weather lol. We brought our eldest Ben a new car about 6 weeks ago, well a 2nd hand VW Bora we paid extra at the garage cus he added on a warranty...anyway as luck as it 2 weeks ago we had to go rescue him as his gearbox went. Now the warranty covered the gearbox so that was not a prob but it also then needed a new clutch & apparently the Bora's have a dual-mass flywheel which to preserve the life of the new gearbox should be replaced at the same time. Unfortunately this darn flywheel is the most expensive part of the car, my son is only an apprentice plumber so his wage is a bit crap at the mo to say the least. Then we find out we have to pay the full bill then the warranty pay us a week later, so today has been a very expensive day costing us over a grand, but at least we get half of it back in a weeks time. The thing is I've got go through all this again when my youngest reaches this age aaarrrrggggghhhh....kids are way too expensive they should come with a warning.....lol.
Anyway I've had a little sort out tonight & found a coloured image I had done months ago when I 1st started practising with Prisma's, so I followed the fab sketch on 'Just Magnolia' & here it is...
I so enjoyed making this card it made me feel all summery.....shame about the weather hitting my conservatory window brrrrr... This is Tilda with Peony. I'm gonna put the links on at the end & materials used & just whack the pics on cus there is a few. ...

Its actually a gatefold card this is the inside which I also decorated unfortunately I only took 1 pic & didnt realise it was poop...so sorry for the poop piccy lol!!

Materials used & Links...
All card used - Paper Mill

Forever Valentine...........also my Sweet Stampin candy winner!!

Good evening peeps hows you all doing? I do hope you are keeping warm.....its sooooo cold up here tonight & the winds are really picking up........ I was gonna go out with a brolly to see if I could do the Mary Poppins thing but then I thought knowing my luck I would literally end up in the North Sea.....so I decided not to do it. My eldest son however I cant think where he gets his stupidness from.....popped out late last night ran round the front lawn & then lay down & made an angel in the snow lmao.....I really did need tena lady I tell ya......mind he sharp realised how cold it was lol.
Anyway onto my appologies 1st of all its been 1 of those hectic days today & I completely forgot to post the winner of my candy for the Sweet Stampin birthday hop.....
picked by randomy thingy can we plz have a drum rollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.....
Can you e-mail me please sweetie so I can have your addy & post your candy to you.
Thank you everyone for entering all of your cards were beautiful.
Right onto a little card I've made with one of my new Sweet Pea stamps. I followed a sketch when I did the card & also there are a couple of challenges that want monochrome which I do quite enjoy doing.....

This is 'Forever Valentine' by the ever talented Ching-choux Kuik which I got from here. While I love black & white & sepia cards I also love blue 1s I think they look so beautiful & I thought I would have a wee break from making crimbo cards.....its my 1st crimbo making them this time last year I never even knew about stamping & if anyone had said Promarker to me I prob would of thought it was some sort of anti-depressant or pick me up....you know like ProPlus (if thats what its called).... So whilst I'm really enjoying making them I'm also craving to do other things as well. At the min I have 3 projects on the go & 3 waiting to be started......is that normal?

Now this image I couldn't decide what to colour her in so her skin is coloured with Copics, the blue thats on her is Promarkers & Prisma pencil shading & the outline of the moony thing & her tail has been outlined with a blue Sakura pen lol, told you I couldn't decide he heee. The moony thing has also had a dusting of Diamond Sparkles 'Angel Whispers'....love this stuff. I also saw a challenge thats wanting decorative corners on your images so I stuck on these lush metal ones, dont have many left so will have to get more!!! The card the image is stamped on is quality smooth white A4 card which I got from here I then edged it with 'Tumbled Glass' distress ink & then went around the edges slightly with my Sakura pen.

I added these to the inside (excuse the piccy lol) I will add a sentiment when I know what the card will be used for i.e birthday etc & the other side I will write my personal message on. They were just cut out using nesties thru the bigshot........I have been eyeing up the Calibur actually lol.......tell me someone is it always like this now I'm crafting where I will always want stuff or is it because I'm still newish & building my stock up?? I'm thinking it could be a bit of both or me being bloody greedy lol (oops can I say bloddy on here....oops I said again!!)

The flower I made using a Magnolia Doo Hickey with blue card I then edged the edges with 'Steel Blue Aurora' embossing powder & then held it at gun poing with my heatgun. I then slapped a coat of 'Clear Rock Candy' distress crackle paint waited for it dry then squished the petals a bit & added a button from my stash.... hey presto a pretty flower.

I've tried my best to capture all the sparkle but its so hard. The card at the bottom I coloured with a Promarker, its not very often I do this cus I'm scrooge with my ink from my pens lol but I wanted a certain effect so I coloured the card using the chisel end but then adhered the opposite side to the card....so if you look closely its kinds like distressed with bits of ink missing, which is what I wanted. The paper I have actually had since April & finally now actually opened the packet & used a sheet woo hoo..... its 8x8 Dovecraft 'Fantasy' paper which just went perfect with this image I thought, but unfortunately I dont remember where it was from. The navy blue lace & the blue gems are from my stash, I really cant remember where I got them from.
Materials used & Links......
6x6 scalloped card & promarkers - Crafty Emma's Store
Embossing powder - The Craft Barn
All other card - Papermill Direct
Magnolia Doo Hickey - Bunny Zoes Crafts
Smooth stamping card - Sir Stampalot

Well thats it from me I have Natalie off school tomorrow as her school is closed due to 3-4 ft of snow, I was keeping her off anyway the journey is just way too far to travel in these icy conditions. I'm hopefully putting up my crimbo tree tomorrow altho the outside lights may have to wait til the snow has gone lol. I hope you have all had a good weekend. Thank you soooo much for stopping by I really do appreciate it....you all totally rock!!!
I'm off to link this up.
See ya soonies peeps, take care
